WHEN IT ALL COMES TO PASS

1. INTRODUCTION (John Eargle: Lead guitar and guitar effects)

2. THE WORD
Words that were given to men long ago penned in a far away land
Cryptic not even the authors would know how wondrous the strokes of their hand

Visions depicted within their mind's eyes their labors relying on trust
Would that their message be left to surmise long after their flesh turned to dust

Preserved and protected the message lived on to warn generations to come
The scholarly epic of truth built upon the wisdom of I Am, the One

Killing the prophets who warned them
Silencing dissenting tongues that

Cried out!
They cried out!
Cried out to the winds of time that blew the sage words away
Out into the din of the ever maddening dissonance

Caretakers many fulfilling their task forthright in duty and goal
Given to critics who tried to unmask the purpose burned into their soul

I'll visit their iniquity on them
Cast them out onto faraway shores

To cry out!
Cry out!
Cry out to the winds of time that blew the sage words away
Out into the din of the ever maddening dissonance

3. THE WARNING
Be fully aware
These things yet to be
He will come again like a thief in the night

4. SANCTIFIED (Chuck Tidwell: Guitar solo)
Ritual offense
Idols cast in gold
Blatantly unhidden by facade
Pitiful defense
Arrogantly bold
Stoke the fires seething in a jealous God

Sanctified in love
Sanctified by grace
The Word must be received, empowered, embraced
Sanctified in love
Sanctified by faith
The Word must be believed

Seeking their own path
Driven by mistrust
A people live and die by their own rule
Bringing forth the wrath
To them that seemed unjust
Reality's description of a senseless fool

Sanctified in love
Sanctified by grace
The Word must be received, empowered, embraced
Sanctified in love
Sanctified by faith
The Word must be believed

I gave you life
I gave you truth
I gave you power and you threw it away
You wanted kings
You wanted glory
You wanted everything to be your own way

You can have your boasting
And you can have your say
You can have your temples and you can have it all your own way
I will judge your action
I will judge your thought
And in the end you'll come to know the pain that you have wrought

Yet sanctified in love
Sanctified by grace
You did not receive, empower, embrace
Sanctified in love
Sanctified by faith
The Word must be believed

5. REITERATION
Some spoke it as true
These things yet to come
They would come to pass like a thief in the night

6. IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME
Entrusted to those with a mentoring tact the parent turns over its young
They're told feelings are more important than fact and therefore you must guard your tongue
The children grow up, have offspring of their own and pass on their lofty ideal
With surrogates playing the good chaperone to mold minds and crush them with zeal

Then given to flagrances fueled by their lust deemed normal by persons of fame
Forcing acceptance and screaming 'you must' and pushing agendas insane
Erasing their history, misplacing the blame, self righteously beating their chest
Their masters well pleased with their pawns in the game, puppets just like all the rest

No there is nothing new under the sun
You cast out the truth all you fools, everyone

7. THE VEIL (Chuck Tidwell: Guitar solos)
Reaching through the darkness and pulling back the veil
Making sure the promise of redemption shall prevail
Piercing through the madness that perpetrates the fear
Unmasking deeds of evil that are not as they appear

Expose the deceivers
Expose the absurd
Expose all the lies corrupting Your word
Restore the true vision
That was there from the start
Heal the division that has torn us apart

Laodicean leaders occupy Your church
While others preach false gospels from from their staid apostate perch
Works in the the name of Jesus while killing the unborn
Usurping the positions and the powers to which they've sworn

Expose the deceivers
Expose the absurd
Expose all the lies corrupting Your word
Pour out Your spirit
Like the winds fill a sail
Embolden Your people to tear down the veil

Lord, we pray for revival
And the power to stand firm
For the sake of survival
For our faith we affirm
So cast out the insurgent
As You withhold restraints
Crush the neck of the serpent
And revenge all your saints

Expose the deceivers
Expose the absurd
Expose all the lies corrupting Your word
Pour out Your spirit
Like the winds fill a sail
Embolden Your people to tear down the veil

8. IF NOT FOR GRACE (Lyrics: Doug Bowers and Chuck Tidwell)
We find ourselves lonely, cold, wounded and blind
Why are we abandoned to wander fractured and weak
Peace where do we find you
Joy why do you hide
Hate crushes our spirit
Lamenting for these things we weep

Blinded by the human condition
Reason taken without a trace
We would falter falling forever
If not for grace

Pride provides us no comfort
Hope is so far removed
Around us the enemy triumphs
Searching for answers we seek

Idols gathered neatly before us
Things that matter not we do seek
Driven by imperfect ambition
If not for grace

Perfect in all that You offer
Knowing Your redemption is all that we need
Taking up Your cross we will serve You
May You make us perfect but meek
We have found forgiveness by asking
Because of Your grace
